What to do
A must for all visitors to this old city is to see some of the historic sites it holds. Five medieval forts, including St John's and Fort Revelin, which both host concerts during the summer, can be explored by tourists. Another site worth checking out is the Franciscan Monastery, housing the oldest pharmacy in southern Europe.
The Sponza Palace, featuring a mix of late Gothic and early Renaissance styles, is a beautiful structure to visit. Dating from 1516, it has impressive stone carvings. Dubrovnik Museum, housed in the Rector's Palace, is another fun place to stop by.
