What to do
You can start your visit in Cape Town by visiting the city’s iconic Table Mountain. You can take hiking trails up to the top, or take a cable car to the summit.
After you’ve gone into the mountains, you may want to spend a day or more at one of Cape Town’s beaches. Camp’s Bay , Blouberg, and Muizenburg are all good options for swimming and other water activities.
For a look into the heart of the city, go to Long Street. This area is lined with bars and restaurants. Victorian and Albert Waterfront are also good places to visit for bars and restaurants, not to mention a shopping mall and an aquarium. From here you can also catch ferries to Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was incarcerated.
Good Hope Castle Fort, situated across the huge open area in front of the imposing neo-classic city hall, also is popular with the tourists.
